How we check our data

Ascenda shows a fee or requirement as current only when we have checked it for the 2026-27 academic year or later. Anything older is labelled with its year, or not shown at all.

Last updated 13 October 2026

What we cover

Undergraduate programmes (bachelor's degrees, and in Australia also diplomas and associate degrees) at universities in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia, with smaller numbers in India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and China. We do not yet list postgraduate courses.

US programmes are listed by field of study, using the US Department of Education's College Scorecard. UK, Canadian and Australian programmes are listed by course.

International tuition fees

Every fee carries a status, and the status decides what you see:

  • Confirmed: checked against the university's own fee page for the year shown (2026-27 or later). Only confirmed fees are used in rankings, averages and “from” figures.
  • Regulated maximum: a legal cap set by government, shown as a maximum, not as the price.
  • Earlier-year fee: an official fee for an older year, always shown with that year and the note that the current year's fee is not yet published.
  • Estimate: an official per-credit rate multiplied by a full-time load, shown with “≈” and never treated as an official annual fee.
  • Not confirmed: no number is shown. We point you to the university's fee page instead.

Fees are shown in the currency the university charges. Converted figures, such as rupees, are approximate, use the European Central Bank reference rate of the day, and are never used for sorting or filtering.

Some fees are tuition only and others include mandatory fees. We say which, and never rank one against the other.

English language requirements

IELTS and TOEFL scores are the minimums universities publish. They are usually university-wide; some courses ask for more, so check the course page before you apply.

Study guides

The study guides by country and subject are calculated from the same data. A subject guide is listed for search engines only when it covers at least 15 programmes at 3 or more universities, and a fee figure appears only when at least 5 confirmed fees from 3 or more universities support it.

Updates and corrections

The catalogue is refreshed for each entry year; the 2027-entry refresh was loaded in October 2026. Universities change fees and requirements during the year, so always confirm on the university's own site before you apply. If you spot something wrong, email hello@ascendaedu.com and we will check it.
